Dear Friends and Neighbors,
What an exciting week! We're trying to wind things up here and finally, the politics are taking a back seat to good public policy. We are working on the issues you've told us you wanted us to focus on, jobs, education and health care. We've worked on the Values fund for jobs, tax incentives for small businesses to offer health insurance and the education piece is still being negotiated. There's lots more that's happened to meet the jobs, education and health care goals and still more to come. I feel good that we're making progress.
I don't have any more coffees scheduled , but if you'd like me to come and visit with you, please let me know.
Thanks to those who wrote and visited. The visitors this week were: Le Cox from Vinton, Ray Feuss from Vinton and Lisa Reid from Atkins.
Sad news: This is my secretary/clerk/friend Patty's last day. She has a new job at the State Architect's office in Minnesota. I tried to get her to move to the best district in Iowa, but her boyfriend and family are in Minnesota. Best of happiness and success to you Patty!
Warm regards to you all,
Dawn
