End of Session News 2006
9/19/2007
Dear Friends and Neighbors, Guess where I'm writing from? HOME! Session ended at about 12:45 a.m. Thursday morning and I packed up and cleaned my rental house by 2:30 p.m., then packed up my desk by 3:30 and was home at 5:30 last night. I am really pleased with the final results of my first term, which is two years. I can report good things for seniors, for children, for veterans, for homeowners, for businesses, for jobs, for health care, for the environment, for good Iowa values, and for us in District 39. Several local businesses have been awarded economic development money. The Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School, although undergoing some changes, will not be closing. There will be additional money going into our local governments and our schools. And property tax relief! Please let me know if you have any local events that you'd like me to attend. I would love to be there. If you have any concerns or questions. I'm here for you. You can contact me at home now, 319-475-2276 or on my cell at 319-610-3412. Warm regards, Dawn
