Dear Friends and Neighbors, Hope all of you are warming up! It was a nice fall day out. There haven't been any leaves change on the trees yet, but I sure love that soy bean color when they start to change. We've got the life! What's been happening? Well, I received the "Friend of Agriculture" endorsement from the Farm Bureau! I've worked hard to support agriculture and jumped up and down in my car when I heard the news...didn't throw my back out, but the seat belt did yank me back to my seat. Enthusiasm is good except when it imitates an impact! Also, last week there were three negative mailings that went out about me. I am attaching a "letter to the editors" that I wrote in response, just in case they don't print it for you to see. They were completely untrue and if you ever have questions about votes or where I stand on an issue, please call me. Mailings like that are a disservice to you. Even when I am not the one with the target on my back, I think they are offensive and hurtful to our whole system. But when it's lies being told about you, it really hurts. I guess I don't have a thick skin and I don't ever want one either. Enjoy your week and please call me if you have any concerns or questions. My home is 319-475-2276 and cell is 319-610-3412. Sincerely, Dawn Pettengill State Representative Iowa House District 39 *********************************************** Iowa House of Representatives State Representative Dawn Pettengill STATEHOUSE NEWS -- September 19, 2006 ***********************************************
