Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I'm wishing all of you a busy, fun summer. The 2007 session has been
out a little over a month now and your representative has been busy
knocking on people's doors, visiting friends on main street walks,
attending city council, county supervisor and school
board meetings, speaking at different club meetings and this week,
the town celebrations begin. Yea!
Speaking of town celebrations, this weekend is Newhall's anniversary
celebration and Mt. Auburn's Flag Day. Newhall has many events
scheduled, but their parade is Saturday at 10:00. Mt. Auburn's
Flag Day is Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00. Our parade starts at 2:00.
There will be a patriotic program after the parade in the city park,
with a lunch and games for the kids following the program. At 4:00,
the firemen of the Cedar/Mt. Auburn department take over for
waterball fights and we love to see those. Try to visit both events!
